Worth checking out. In the North, at the Meadow Lake Fishery, there are several exposed Iron nodes. This area is occupied with higherlevel Lost mobs, up to level 18. At the Canary Mine, you can find several Iron Ore nodes inside the cave and on the cliffy outskirts. This area is inhabited by level 15 corrupted mobs.

Feralas You will find Iron anywhere you go in Feralas, it's the best place to mine Iron. You could actually just do laps at the northern area without going to the southern area. Western Plaguelands Western Plaguelands is also an excellent place to farm Iron, just don't go to Hearthglen because there is no ore there. Stick to route I recommend.

Hellfire Peninsula. Hellfire Peninsula is the best place to farm Fel Iron ore because there are no other types of ores in the zone. Every other zone has some Adamantite. You will get fewer Fel Iron Ore in every other zone. The respawn time is fast enough that you don't have to go around the whole Hellfire Peninsula to farm effectively.

Arathi is definetly the best place to go for iron ore. Obtained about 98 Iron, 14 Gold, 6 Silver, and 25 Tin, in about 2 hours.
